This coffee was produced in the town of Odo Shakiso which is located in the heavily forested Guji Zone of the Oromia region in Ethiopia. This lot was named ARDI after the oldest skeleton of a human ancestor ever found which was discovered and exhumed in 1994 in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian heirloom coffee varietals add complexity while the natural processing brings notes of strawberry preserves layered on top of more subtle red fruits accented by a touch of citric acidity.
